Elizabeth Alexy is a Model, Actress, Writer, Yoga Guide and Photographer. She is based in NYC.

Elizabeth Alexy studied photography at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications (Syracuse University). Upon graduating in 2002, she worked as a photo assistant for with a number of major photographers, primarily Patrick Demarchelier, and also Gregory Heisler and Bruce Weber. She also worked as a photo editor at Time Inc.

After two years of this apprenticeship, she expanded to pursue her own photographic career, specializing in fine art and portraiture. Incidentally, she was scouted in starbucks to professionally model at the same time. She has lived in London, Milan and Singapore, but is based in New York City. 

Elizabeth has studied acting since 2008 at HB studios and TVI in NYC and has audited classes at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. She has played principal characters in an estimated 30 tv commercials and has appeared on tv for Saturday Night Live and Curb Your Enthusiasm. She specializes in comedic improv.  

As a model, she has been lucky enough to work for a wide variety of clients, from blue-chip international companies to high fashion houses to publications such as Vogue. For years, she starred as Gabriela Hearst's only Fit model. She worked on the design team FOR her casual wear line named Candela, and Eventually helped single handedly present her luxury line, Gabriela Hearst, to Barneys and Vogue. She fit for Tory Burch and  Diane Von Furstenberg. She has shot ads for Nikon, Mastercard, Neiman Marcus, Steinway and dozens of others.

Elizabeth has trained as a yogi since her arrival in NYC in 2002. She was always curious and fascinated by the connection to the divine through practice and, in 2014, she became a teacher through Strala with Michael Taylor as her mentor. She has been practicing with Dharma Mittra in NYC for the past several years, and her teaching blends hatha and vinyasa styles from the variety of her fortunate studies with a handful of world renowned teachers.  In 2016, Elizabeth suffered a no fault car accident that severely damaged her disks in her thoracic back. She took the opportunity to learn the depths of meditation and more careful approaches once she was able to return to her yoga mat. She enjoys the depth of Yoga Nidra in her guiding and observing students' tendencies, and has a knack for observing student's blockages whether they psychic or physical, emotional or mental. Her friends describe her as a trusted observer who's capable of saving the most hopeless souls.

Elizabeth was born in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and raised in the Catskills. Her birthday is March 29.
